Tugela Tours operates bespoke escorted tours around South Africa, mainly using Durban as its hub of operations. Nowhere else in Africa can you dive with sharks in the warm ocean, play golf on a World Top 100 course, see the Big 5 on safari, or hike the snow-capped mountain in a single tour. For this reason, we have selected the natural wonders of KwaZulu-Natal as the backdrop to our luxury tours.

The company was founded on the belief that people visiting South Africa deserve a personalised and superior experience from dedicated professionals. Our hand-picked tour options are limited to those that we have a passion for and an expertise in. It all started with our Luxury Golf & Safari 10-day Tour and then branched off from there. Our concept for a Luxury Golf & Safari Tour came about when we saw countless people from around the world arriving in Durban to play golf at our world-class courses but receiving a second-class service. From the moment our clients join us, we aim to make them feel like a VIP with countless special touches and expert advice.

It is only with Tugela Tours that you have access to your own Tugela PGA Golf Pro. Our Golf Pro played on The Sunshine Tour for a number of years and was a caddie for one of the world’s most recognised golfers. As a PGA Golf Pro, Micky Hough, is eager to share his passion for the game and is on hand to provide expert advice before each round of golf. He also hosts an exclusive 90 min talk for our guests – “Secrets from the Tour”.
